This is a Southern Black Rhinoceros from the Milwaukee Zoo. The Black Rhino is classified as an endangered species and about 3600 exist in Africa. There are four sub-species of the Black Rhino:
-South-Central: the most numerous -South-Western -East African -West African: Rarest and most endangered sub-specie ~Information from the WWF ~Thanks to CriticallyEndangered for informing me of the plight of the species |

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
